Community Education and Empowerment

At Lahaina Strong, community education is more than just sharing knowledge. It is about empowering our people to take control of their future.

We host regular gatherings where residents learn their rights, access recovery resources, and find pathways to rebuild on their own terms. From understanding FEMA processes to navigating housing rights, we make sure no family faces this alone and uninformed.

The Lahaina Energy Partnership is one example of how we equip residents with the tools to make informed decisions about energy independence. Through workshops, town halls, and one-on-one support, we build the knowledge base our community needs to lead its own recovery.

We also run the Lahaina Strong Neighborhood Watch Program, monthly community safety meetings, and the Lahaina Strong Makeke, a marketplace celebrating local vendors and economic resilience.
